Layard's Palm Squirrel (Funambulus layardi) is a species of rodent in the Sciuridae family. It is found only in Sri Lanka. The validity of the subspecies dravidianus based on a single specimen from the southern tip of India has been questioned,[3] and is probably a juvenile Funambulus sublineatus.[1]
